Your responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, accounts payable, and leading the monthly close process. Given Laudisi's dynamic and fast-growing environment, the Accountant must be adaptable and prepared to take on additional responsibilities as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Accountant will assist the Accounting team in overseeing the company's financial data and compliance. Daily and periodical duties will include:
- Review monthly bookkeeping and finance deliverables
- Assist with timely and accurate month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and generating financial reports
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and provide guidance
- Presentations to company leadership and special projects as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting from a four-year college or university
- Experience: 1-5 years of private corporate accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition and cost accounting.
- Strong in QuickBooks Online (QBO) or other modern accounting software i.e. Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
- Working knowledge of Google Suite and MS 365
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Automation and Third-Party Tools
- Familiarity with foreign currency exchange
- Familiarity with international freight, customs, and brokerage
- Familiarity with multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Familiarity with excise tax returns
