ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Laudisi Enterprises — the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Cornell & Diehl, Peterson of Dublin, Caldwell Cigars, and Low Country Pipe & Cigar — are searching for candidates who can embrace the energy of a fast-paced environment to get things done in our expanding Shipping department.
The lifeblood of our retail business, our warehouse plays a critical role in our continued dedication to customer service. On a daily basis, we receive inventory and raw materials from distributors and suppliers that will be merchandised and sold to our loyal customers.
Our Receiving Associates fill the critical role of sorting, unpacking, verifying, and entering these items into inventory. This is a physically active and mentally demanding role where efficiency and accuracy are of the utmost importance. Our Receiving Associates are always on the go and thrive in a fast-paced and highly interactive working environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unload and sort arriving packages
- Unpack incoming truck deliveries
- Count inventory from deliveries and compare them to quantities and descriptions on shipment packing lists and/or invoices
- Identify delivery errors or variances and reconcile quantities
- Receive reconciled items into our internal inventory software
- Accurately stock our warehouse shelves with all received products
- Label and bin locate new inventory
- Help organize inventory best-suited for the Shipping Department's needs
- Keep track of your schedule through our web-based scheduling software
- Serve our valuable customers with passion and integrity.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Be punctual, reliable, and flexible
- Attendance on-site
- Availability to work days and weekends, as needed
- Work autonomously while also building strong working relationships with management and team members
- Have a solid mathematical aptitude
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Be a focused team player each and everyday
- Ability to navigate web-based software
- Problem-solving skills, and detail orientented
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 50lb
- Ability to work on your feet for prolonged periods of time
- Pass a criminal background check
BONUS SKILLS:
A working knowledge of international shipping processes and guidelines is preferred but not required. We aren't always running full-speed, so the ideal candidate would have a knack for keeping our warehouse organized and orderly when things slow down.
