ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Laudisi Distribution Group — the official U.S. distributor of Peterson, Savinelli, and Rossi pipes and pipe accessories, as well as Cornell & Diehl, Savinelli, Samuel Gawith, Gawith Hoggarth & Co., and G.L. Pease pipe tobacco brands, among many others — is searching for an intrepid Territory Sales Manager to support our growing sales team. In this role, the perfect candidate will quickly develop a strong understanding of our proprietary software, customer service policies, and expansive product selection to elevate our sales efforts and support brick-and-mortar and online retailers across a major, high-earning national territory.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will work directly with the Director of Laudisi Distribution Group to manage and grow B2B sales of our entire catalog of products across a high-potential territory, using a consultative, category-based approach that focuses on retailer education, brand ambassadorship, and strong customer relationships. Among other tasks, your primary day-to-day responsibilities will include making store visits, booking and processing orders, and coordinating — both operationally and administratively — with our headquarters-based support staff. Additionally, you will also lead in-store merchandising efforts, regularly update our CRM and relevant account files, and provide product education and guidance to store owners and staff through sales events and trunk shows. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Superlative active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize travel schedules 
  • Strong capacity for problem solving and critical thinking 
  • Exceptional communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Live in or Relocate to Ohio, Michigan or Indiana
  • Be curious, open-minded, and a life-long learner
  • Possess a general interest or experience in premium tobacco
  • Demonstrate high levels of empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Be punctual, reliable, and flexible
  • Work autonomously with little direction
  • Be willing to travel 50% of working hours
  • Think critically and make decisions with intellectual rigor
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
  • Pass a criminal background check

BONUS SKILLS:

Our Territory Managers are product and industry experts; therefore, previous experience — either personally or professionally — with premium pipes, pipe tobacco, and/or cigars would be advantageous.

Compensation: $80,000.00 To $87,500.00 Annually (Salary includes base pay + estimated commissions based on historical sales data)
