ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We, Laudisi Enterprises, the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Caldwell Cigars, Cornell & Diehl, Peterson of Dublin and Low Country Pipe & Cigar, are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting team as an Accountant.
Your responsibilities will include assisting in accounting functions, preparing journal entries, and accounts payable. Some work with outside accountants will be necessary for annual tax returns, and other requirements include preparing projections and presentations, various other accounting duties, and special projects as needed and assigned. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Accountant will assist the Accounting team in overseeing the company's financial data and compliance. Daily and periodical duties will include:
- Preparing journal entries
- Assisting with accounts payable
- Coordinating with outside accounting firms
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
- Presentations to company leadership and special projects as needed
- Monthly closing of the books
- Inventory Management
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting from a four-year college or university
- Working knowledge of current US GAAP
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Google suite
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks or other commercial accounting software
- Adaptability to software
BONUS SKILLS:
- Familiarity with multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Familiarity with excise tax returns
- Familiarity with international freight
- Familiarity with foreign currency exchange
